Is it love or not?

“LOVE is not only something you feel. It is something you do”

                                                                                                                      David Wilkerson

There is nothing quite easier than to say: “I love you”, much more difficult to act in accordance with these words each day of your life.

The word “love” gives rise to the verb “to love”, and verb means an action and our actions can show the true inwardness of our behavior.

For the sake of self-interest people can hide their actions putting on a mask of the false love.

A man may play a role of a grandson, son, husband, friend, brother, grandfather … A woman may play a role of a granddaughter, daughter, friend, wife, sister, grandmother…

In other words there are we and there is someone else. So can we say that our actions are osents of love when it comes to some person? And actions of a significant other with regard to us, are these actions driven by love or do they camouflage some other intentions?

Am I able to show love?

How is it possible to recognize whether the action is based on a true love or not?

It’s not an uncommon thing when wife and children suffer from abuse on the part of a man – is it love?

Some may say: “Abuse is love”.

If you think that such a response is a rarity than you are in the wrong business.

Many a man will respond “Yes!” to a question “Does abuse mean love?”

Consider this!

Statistics in Ukraine: population numbers 45,49 millions (2013)

“68% of Ukrainian women suffer from abuse (about 18 millions). They suffer from domestic violence more often than from knockover, rape, auto accidents combined. 35-50% of women who check into a hospital with bodily injuries – are victims of domestic tyranny, they say in Press Service of Kyiv Municipal State Administration.”

Russia population numbers 143,5 mlns (2013)

According to the words of the Director of the National Violance Prevention Center Marina Pisklakova: “Every hour one woman dies of domestic violance in Russia”. The one just can’t believe in soundness of such data. Nonetheless this confirmation is real, statistics comment itself – more than 10 000 women are murdered by their husbans or partners.

(Though summary of Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation are more frightening)

12 000 women die of domestic violance, it means that 1 woman dies every 40 minutes

2600 children suffer from abuse on the part of their parents

2000 children and teenagers pulling through the domestic violence commit suicide

10 000 children and teenagers go from home

60-70% of victims do not seek help

97% of cases connected with domestic violance do not come to trial

As a comparison, statistics in the USA, population numbers 318,9 mlns (2014)

About 3 000 women die from domestic violance. Besides, blows and murders are only a monstrous top of the iceberg. Domestic violance has lots of faces, it can be economical, psychological, sexual. Basing on this information we can claim that every fourth family in Russia suffers from domestic violance.

The truth is that he does love…  loves drinking, loves mocking, loves showing his control to the offenceless ones…loves…loves… and the list goes on. A wife and children can be added to such a list only with the prefix NO!

In our skype meeting our good friend Gregg King took part. Gregg and his family many times have come to work as volunteers to the camp for orphaned children and this fact is true ostents of love.

Today during our meeting children and we have learned a lot about vitally important problems, and the main problem is called like “Is it love or not?!”. You shouldn’t search the answer reading coffee grounds, you’ll find it in the actions.
