Mercy.

Together with children we watched two short videos at this meeting. The first one was a story about a man who was walking along the road, when two robbers attacked him, beat and left him to die. Near were passing members of the clergy, elite of the nation, on the donkeys. When they saw the wounded, they hurry to leave and pretended that nothing had happened. Also there was a traveler, walking this road, who saw wounded man, stopped and provided first aid to him. And despite his business, he delivered the wounded to the place, where the last was provided the help. This kind man paid all treatment expenses, although they were representatives of hostile nations. The second video also told the story about a man, who was beaten by robbers and left to die. First there was a member of clergy on an expensive car on the road, then statesman, but they all drove along him. And only an ordinary farmer stopped, provided help to the wounded, delivered him to the hospital and paid the treatment. Children immediately defined that the only difference between these two stories was that they took place in different epochs. And the attitude of participants was the same.

All children noted, that such qualities as apathy and mercy were, are and will be foundation of people at all times.

After communication, tea-party and games, on my way home I was thinking that some speak about spirituality, other guarantee the salvation of the country from the crisis. Earlier it was claimed at the market places. Today people use the Internet and television for this purpose. But then and now if it is needed to provide real help, such people display full apathy. And ordinary people, however, continue to provide help and display mercy.

I hope that our children regardless, who they will become, will not just talk, but will be people, who display mercy.
